TRUMPET SABRETACHE OR CHASSEUR À CHEVAL MUSICIAN OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, model 1854, Second Empire. 27104
Sabretache in black patent leather with back of the tab hot-dated 1860, hallmark with the imperial crown followed by the inscription “CH de la Gde” and hot-marked “188”. Interior pocket lined in black canvas, H 25 cm, 18 cm wide at the top and 23 cm at the bottom. Flap covered in scarlet cloth with folded and saddle-stitched bleached leather band on the outer edge. White wool framing braid, width 3 cm. A brass plate stamped in relief and cut with the Great Imperial Arms is fixed in its center by means of a lace, H 16.8 cm, width 12.8 cm.
H of the sabretache 29.5 cm, width at the top 19 cm, width at the bottom 27 cm.
It is completed with three rectangular brass suspension rings.
