Oval-shaped stele (2.5 cm x 2.2 cm) in silver engraved with a naval anchor shield with a cannon and a feather; the shield is surmounted by a medieval helm.
Total height 8.8 cm.

BIOGRAPHY :
Nicolas DESLANDES, shipowner at the port of Grandville (1744-1816) who made his fortune in an arms and commerce company, which earned him his ennoblement in 1783.
Coat of arms of the DESLANDES Family (aka LANDES): "Gules with a silver anchor abutted on the dexter side of a feather placed in a band and on the sinister side of a cannon on its golden carriage placed in profile".
