Guard with a brass branch. Short-tailed cap. Wooden handle covered in calfskin and a double twisted brass wire. Brass ferrule. Guard branch signed “VERSAILLES”, hallmarked “J”, a hallmark “X”, “JC” in an oval corresponding to J. Cazamajou, reviser from 1803 to August 1806 then from January 1809 to September 1811, the cruise is hallmarked “ S.59” and a crescent. Curved blade with hollow sides bearing the hallmarks of the inspector "M" under star of C. Marion, inspector from December 1807 to December 1808 and "B" of the first class inspector J.G. Bick, February 1809 August 1824. Back of the blade marked “Mfure Imple du Klingenthal Coulaux Frères”.
Blade length 70 cm, heel width 3.5 cm. Remnant of scarlet cloth tie.
Black waxed leather scabbard with two brass fittings, cap with saber holder button, brass dart.
