Entirely in brass. The base of the bomb is stamped on the front and back with a relief molding. Mobile visor stamped in relief with two crossed axes linked together by a ribbon. Neck cover surrounded by a rush folded astride its outer edge. Crest with fins stamped with fourteen gadroons with mask decorated with a flaming bomb, the crest is surmounted by a black horsehair caterpillar. Brass front plate, model 1852, stamped with an uncrowned imperial eagle holding the sparkling spindle of Jupiter in its claws, all against a background of a bundle of flags. In the lower part, a ribbon bearing the inscription “DÉVOUEMENT Srs POMPIERS DE SAINT RAMBERT”. Brass chinstraps composed of two round rosettes stamped with gadroons in relief, and two leather-lined chin straps covered with a brass plate stamped with scalloped scales. Plumet holder with square section decreasing downwards with tightening screw. Inner headdress composed of a black waxed leather headband topped with a black canvas headdress.
Total height of helmet with track 27 cm.
Scarlet plume in rooster feathers with olive pompom in scarlet wool cord.
