Hairstyle called "Polo" (low and cylindrical shape). Headdress in madder cloth with soutache and gilded silver braid, H 3.2 cm, headband in black cloth, H 5.4 cm, entirely embroidered with a stroke composed of a baguette intertwined with a festoon of leaves acanthus; bordered on the upper part with a cord and a strip of sequins made of gilded silver threads and cannetilles; in the lower part, at the level of the visor, golden braid. Cap decorated with a Hungarian knot with four small golden braids. Visor in black waxed and patent leather, lined with black embossed morocco, and trimmed with a black lacquered calfskin band folded astride the outer edge.
Inner headdress in black silk. Interior headband in soft black leather, marked in gold “E. Bidal 3 rue de Richelieu PARIS”.
