DOLMAN OF BRIGADIER JEAN-PIERRE-VICTOR DOUIN OF THE GUIDES OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, Second Empire. 28313
Dolman model of the regulations of June 9, 1853 specified by the description of June 15, 1857, entirely in dark green cloth, closing straight at the front by means of 18 smooth brass bell buttons. The front is trimmed with 18 braids of golden yellow wool with five rows of buttons. The back is decorated at the top with a Hungarian knot in golden yellow piping. The seams and false pockets are trimmed on each side with piped golden yellow braid. Cloth collar of the gold-yellow braided uniform. Madder cloth facings bordered with a golden yellow wool braid forming a point and topped with two additional golden yellow braids indicating the rank of brigadier. Interior lining in ecru canvas bearing the ink stamps of the regiment: “Rt des Gdes”, dated 2nd quarter 1857, number “2702”. Interior waist belt in brown morocco.

Very good condition, a few moth holes in the uniform sheet, a repaired tear under the right arm of 4 cm (no loss of sheet).
ATTRIBUTION:
The registration number “2702” is that of Jean-Pierre-Victor DOUIN, resident of Sanit-Avit in the department of Eure-et-Loire, born May 11, 1832. Profession: day laborer. He was incorporated into the corps on May 8, 1857 as a cavalryman from the dragoon regiment of the Imperial Guard. He served in the Italian campaign in 1850, from March 16 to August 12, he received the Italian Campaign Medal. He was released on December 31, 1859 and received a certificate of good conduct.
