Carcass 13.7 cm high in cardboard made of 14 sheets of vegetable paper glued with gluten covered internally with percaline glued in the same way then varnished. Sleeve in fine black cloth, cap in small black varnished cow, round visor in strong cow, black varnished on the outside, green below, hot stamped. Bourdalou in black patent leather, H 2.5 cm. Silver braid on the top of the barrel, H 2 cm. On each side, silver braid sewn in a V, divided lengthwise into two equal parts by a ponceau silk stripe. On the sides, black lacquered copper ventilation eyelets. On the visor rests a false chinstrap in silver nickel silver, formed of a flat chain, composed of circular rings intertwined two by two in the shape of a curb chain, fixed on each side by a rosette stamped with a flaming grenade in relief. At the front of the headdress a 4.4 cm metal cockade, stamped with rays, painted in the national colors, on which the tail of a smooth silver metal button is welded. Strap with two strands of square silver braid sewn together.
Silver metal plaque H 10.6, L 6.2 cm, stamped in relief and cut with a pomegranate shield bordered by a pearl molding, placed an oak branch, and a laurel branch. Inner headdress in blackened sheepskin. Marking, inside the headdress “SOCIÉTÉ GENERALE DE FOURNITURES MILITAIRES - 1883” Blue printed paper label from the same factory with size “55”.
