SPANISH CAVALRY SWORD FORTE FOR THE TROOPS, model 1728, 18th century. 25891AJC
Fully iron frame. Single branch guard with molded joining arch matching the curved “S” quillons, width at the guard 15 cm; half-moon escutcheon, flat ricasso, rings riveted to the shell via a plate using four strong rivets (three of which are missing). Asymmetrical bivalve shell. Flattened ovoid iron pommel. Wooden rocket entirely filigreed with copper framed by two ferrules and clad with four longitudinal rods for reinforcement. Double-edged blade with central flat bearing the Toledo mark on each side, length 91 cm. Total length 108 cm.

Fairly good condition, oxidation, wear on the blade with some losses at the tip and edges. Without sheath.
