Octagonal mirror barrel with 12 stripes at constant pitch, length 12.4 cm, marked above “Manufacture Liège d’armes à feu 1875”, and on its left side “C.F.” (Charles François) “GALAND invR patenté”. Barrel, barrel, frame and cap with serial number 425. Six-shot barrel hallmarked with the Liège proofhouse ELG* in a vertical oval in use from 1846 to 1893, and with a crowned N, controller's hallmark between 1811 and January 1877 (Neuprez Pierre?). Finger rest trigger guard. Caliber 12 mm. Sloped stock with finely squared wooden plates.

Original condition, near new, with almost 100% war black tan. Yellowed hammer, trigger and cocking lever locking part.

GALAND revolver with automatic extractor adopted by the Imperial Russian Navy in March 1871 under the name of boarding revolver pistol model 1870. Single and double action, central percussion caliber 12 mm PERRIN-GALAND, manufactured in Belgium by Maison GALAND.
