In the title, at the top of the document, a medallion containing the photo of the recipient decorated with a ribbon for the reduction of the military medal.
“Military ambulance siege of Paris supported in 1870-1871 against the Prussian armies.
The Founder-Director of the Breton Ambulance, Sedentary Flying and Volunteer on the Battlefields offers to Mr Patriau Edmond, in Bordeaux, Ex-Gendarme in the Army of the Loire the Breton Cross, insignia of the work as well as the present Diploma, in memory of the kind assistance and devoted services he rendered as Benefactor of the Work during the war.
