Brass frame. Three-branched guard registered “A2307”. Short-tailed cap. Calfskin-covered wooden handle with brass filigree. Straight blade with hollow sides, length 86.9 cm, stamped on the heel “R” in an oval of J.P.J. Réallon, director 1875-1883, "B" in a circle of J.M. Brenier, principal controller of 2nd class 1874-1889 and "C" in a hexagon, back of blade engraved "Mre d'armes de Châtt June 1883 = light caverie mle 1822 = tmé 1883”. Brown buffalo tie. Steel scabbard with a bail ring similarly numbered to the saber “A2307”.
