Brass frame. Guard with one branch registered "165", hallmarked "No. 10" and round hallmarks "B" of F.A. Bisch, controller of 2nd class from 1829 to 1845 and oval "W" of controller of 1st class Wideman June 1836 to June 1843. Short-tailed cap. Wooden handle covered in black waxed calfskin with brass filigree. Curved blade with hollow sides, length 80.4 cm, stamped "W" in an oval of the controller of 1st class Wideman June 1836 to June 1843 and "T" surrounded by two dots, of the director A.F. Thoumas, 1834-1837, back of blade engraved “Manufre Rle de Châtellerault March 1836”. Steel scabbard with two bail bracelets numbered “234”.
