Brass frame. Four-branched guard numbered “563B”, hallmarked “18” with a hallmark representing a “B” in a circle by G. Bisch, 2nd class controller, 1845-1864 and an “F” in an oval by G.H. Durousseau de Fayolle , director of the Manufacture de Châtellerault from September 15, 1862 to March 2, 1873. Straight Montmorency blade with heel and gutters, length 94.9 cm, signed on the back by the Manufacture de Châtellerault, dated March 1857, marked “Carabers mle 1854” and hallmarked. Natural buffalo tie. Steel scabbard with two bail bracelets.
