INFANTRY OFFICER'S SABER, First Empire. 28174
Brass frame. Guard at a branch. Oval eared cruise. Short-tailed cap. Uncheckered ebony handle. Slightly curved blade with hollow sides, rush back, 77.5 cm long, formerly engraved with floral decorations and military trophies. Black patent leather scabbard with three brass fittings decorated with scalloped lines and edges. Central cap and trim fitted with brass rings. Chaplet completed with a button for wearing on the belt.

Bad condition, damaged handle, oxidized and heavily worn blade, leather of the scabbard folded in two places with varnish chips. Weapon never cleaned, coming out of attic.
