Brass guard with one branch, overflowing tray and openwork shell of foliage. Long-tailed cap decorated with laurel branches. Horn rocket. Blade with hollow sides and round back, length 77 cm, back signed “Manufre de Klingenthal Coulaux Aîné & Cie”. Blade heel stamped “G” in a circle and “B” under crown in an oval, hallmarks of officers' blades as a trade from the Coulaux company in Klingenthal. Black patent leather scabbard with three gilded bronze fittings.

Good condition, discolored frame, missing watermark, mark on the blade from an old disassembly, varnish of the scabbard chipped, fittings having retained 70% of their gilding.
NOTE :
The Chasseurs de Vincennes are an experimental group created in 1837. It took the name of Chasseurs d'Orléans in 1842.
