Brass frame. Guard with three branches, main branch registered “182” and stamped “10”. Short-tailed cap. Wooden handle covered in brass filigree calfskin. Straight blade with hollow sides, 87.4 cm long, with back engraved "Mre d'armes de Châtlt -8bre 1883 = Cavrie light -Mle 1822 = Tmé 1883" (model 1822 transformed 1883), punched at the heel "S" of the controller 2nd class S. Stocky 1865-1882, “R” in an oval of director J.P.J. Réallon, 1875-1883 and a “B” in a circle from J.M. Brenier, principal controller of 2nd class from 1874 to 1889 then 1st class until 1893. Natural buffalo tie. Steel scabbard with a bail bracelet similarly registered to the mount.

Good condition, very slight trace of oxidation on the blade, the scabbard has its original burnishing with general oxidation to be cleaned.
