GREAT DRESS LIGHT INFANTRY OFFICER'S BELT, model 1850, Second Republic, Presidency of Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, 1848-1852. 26326

In black patent leather entirely covered with a silver trimmings braid with three black silk threads, width of the belt 4 cm, length 94 cm. Golden brass buckles. Two suspension straps for the leather saber covered with silver braid with a black silk border.

Average condition, the braids have retained their period silvering with very slight oxidation, one of the suspension straps is disconnected from the belt but has retained its leather tab sewn between the silver braid and the belt, we attached a third suspension belt of the same model.
