IRON CITY SWORD, 16th century. 25886
Iron frame. Ring guard and flat main branch joined to the two quillons curved towards the tip of the blade by a fluted escutcheon. Stretched and ribbed pommel finished with a strong riveting button. Filigree iron fuse, braided brass ferrules. Ricasso blade, double edged and central groove bearing illegible hollow inscriptions on both sides.

Blade length: 87.5 cm.
Width at the quillons: 14 cm.

Good condition, oxidation and wear, rocket replaced in the 19th century.
