In gilded bronze and enamel, presenting eight lotus flowers from which emerges the three-headed white elephant, symbol of Laos, and mount of the god Indra, divinity of storms and war, and embodying the union of the north, center and from the south of the country. The latter is crowned with the royal white silk parasol and the victory crown “maha phichai mongkut”. Smooth reverse.
Orange-red silk ribbon, bordered with orange geometric designs, slightly insolated.

In Buddhist tradition, a white elephant approached and touched the side of the sleeping Queen Mahamaya with a lotus flower, thus beginning the fertilization process that gave birth to the Buddha. The association between this legendary animal and the Buddha is thus established.
