Cardboard barrel covered with black taupe cloth garnished at the top with a silver trimmings braid (width of the braid 2.2 cm) lizard woven, and at the bottom with a black velvet bourdalou H 3.5 cm. H of the barrel 15.5 cm at the front. Black patent leather cap, diameter 14 cm. Cockade in tricolor trimmings, diameter 8 cm. Visor in black patent leather, green waxed inside, width 5.2 cm.
Front plate in silvered copper representing the rooster with outstretched wings placed on a globe cut out with the number “5”, against a background of a bundle of flags and a bundle of lictors with crossed hands and a ribbon bearing the inscription “FRENCH REPUBLIC”. H of the plate 12 cm, width 11.5 cm.
Chinstraps composed of a leather chin strap covered in black cloth covered with a silver-plated copper plate stamped with scalloped scales with a rosette stamped with a flaming bomb. Inner headdress in black varnished sheepskin cut into eight wolf teeth.
Spherical red wool pompom.
