This catalog is the result of fifteen years of professional experience and twenty-five years of passion for military art. It is not intended to bring together extraordinary and extremely rare objects; this work consisted of a selection of military objects and historical souvenirs that are authentic and representative of the armies of recent centuries. Just like the History of France, these objects are witnesses to a past rich in events: glorious, unfortunate, sumptuous, modest, exceptional or ordinary...
It is a privileged way to observe History through Objects and to acquire them if that is your desire. Through nine chapters: the Old Monarchy, the Revolution, the First Empire, The First Restoration, the Hundred Days, the Second Restoration, the July Monarchy and the Second Republic, the Second Empire then the Third Republic, the reader has a historical synthesis of the period studied and the role of the army at that time. This catalog presents approximately 330 military souvenirs and more than 800 uniform buttons distributed in each chapter with descriptions of various military objects, all photographed in color and sometimes accompanied by historical notices depending on their rarity.
