Kepi model 1868.
Headdress in dark blue cloth, headband in scarlet cloth with gold flat braid braid bordering the top of the headband, the four sides of the headdress and sewn in the shape of a Hungarian knot on the crown. Square visor in black patent leather lined with green sheepskin. False chinstrap in gold braid sewn to the headband with two small spherical brass buttons. Inner cover in fine black canvas.
Tunic.
In dark blue cloth, closing straight at the front with five buttonholes and two rows of brass buttons without inscription or number. Scarlet cloth collar. Straight facings in scarlet cloth topped with a flat gold braid. Two side pockets with flap. Martingale in blue cloth with two buttons, small module. Shoulder tabs in blue cloth piped in scarlet with small module brass button. Interior lining in purple and black tartan cloth.
Pants.
Straight trousers in dark blue cloth fastening at the front with four bone buttons, with side bands in scarlet cloth. Four buttons on the belt to secure the suspenders. Lining the belt in beige canvas with the stamp of a military tailor “CLOTHING GUARD NATIONALE...” (difficult to read) and name of the tailor not legible.
Belt.
In black patent leather, dated 1919, complete with its saber-holder bail and its model plate dated March 2, 1845 in gilded brass. Rectangular plate with cut corners with stamped motif of a winged republic with ribbon bearing the inscription “HONEUR PATRIE”, complete with its barb and trigger guard.
