Gilded bronze frame. One-branch guard decorated with oak and laurel branches. Keyboard molded in relief of a rooster on a background of a bundle of flags, garnished with three riveted silver stars. Pommel decorated with the sparkling and winged spindle of Jupiter and acanthus leaves. Wooden rocket covered in black waxed calfskin. Ferrules with laurel branches. Large double-edged gutter blade, length 77.2 cm, width at the heel 3 cm. Scarlet cloth tie. Wooden scabbard covered in black varnished calfskin with two gilded bronze fittings, cover signed “MANCEAUX A PARIS”.

Good condition, the mount has retained all its gilding, the watermark is missing, some oxidation spots on the blade, flaking of the varnish on the leather of the scabbard, the scabbard fittings rubbed in places.
