Brass frame. Guard at a German branch. Octagonal cap with short tail decorated with relief moldings. Finely squared ebony spindle. Brass ferrule decorated with features. Curved blade with hollow sides richly decorated on its three-quarters with floral decorations and military trophies engraved and gilded and cartridges engraved and polished with acid with floral and military decorations, all on a blued background, length 69.8 cm. Black patent leather scabbard with two silver-plated brass fittings with scalloped edges, cap with button for wearing on the belt, decorated bouterolle with steel dart.

First Empire, blade reused under the Restoration with a Restoration-made blade.
Good condition, mount and scabbard fittings having lost almost all of their silvering, blade in very good condition with small oxidation spots, rubbed leather of the scabbard.
