Brass frame. Guard with one branch marked "M" surmounted by a toothed wheel of J.J. Mouton, first class controller at the Klingenthal factory from July 1798 to February 1809, "LW" of B.P.C. Levavasseur, inspector from March 1798 to September 1803. Long-tailed cap. Calfskin-covered wooden handle. Curved blade with hollow sides, similarly hallmarked at the hilt, length 76.5 cm. Wooden scabbard covered in black waxed leather with two large brass fittings with iron rings, just like the stinger.

Good condition, small loss in the leather of the rocket in the lower part, lower part of the rear cruise of the mount missing, some scratches on the leather of the scabbard, period repair at the base of the bouterolle.
