GIBERNE OF THE SQUADRON OF THE HUNDRED-GUARDS OF THE EMPEROR'S MILITARY HOUSEHOLD, MODEL 1854, Second Empire. 28069
Rectangular box in black patent leather (width 14.5 cm, H 7.4 cm, depth 3.5 cm), the inside of the box has two compartments: one is empty, the other has 6 brass slots to receive six Treuille de Beaulieu cartridges (with side pin), cartridges used by the Cent-Gardes. Black patent leather tab (width at the top 17.5 cm, width at the bottom 18 cm, H 9 cm), brass framing ring (width 1 cm), brass plaque stamped with the large imperial arms on a glory (plate width 12.5 cm, H 6.7 cm). The back of the tab is numbered “105” and dated “67” 1867.

Good exterior condition, tear in the box.
NOTE :The archives of the Army Historical Service (SHAT) report an order for 150 cartridge holder tubes, in brass. Which corresponds to 25 pouches of this type.
