Gilded brass frame. Three-pronged guard. Short-tailed cap. Silver filigree horn handle. Curved blade with hollow sides, length 92 cm, richly engraved on one side in acid with a blued background with a cartouche bearing the inscription “ETTIE-ANDRÉ • MAY 24, 1884” framed by a frieze representing heads of warriors surrounded corollas of foliage and signed on the heel “ARTILLERIA FABRICA DE TOLEDO”; on the other side, the blade is decorated in the same style and the cartridge bears the inscription “Recté sicut Hasta”. Brown buffalo tie. Steel scabbard with two bail bracelets.
