Gilded bronze frame. Guard with one branch, quillon ending in the shape of a sea monster's head. Cruise decorated with a navy anchor on a bundle of flags with the face of the Sun on a radiant background. Short-tailed cap decorated with laurel branches and studded molding. Slanted ebony handle. Curved blade with hollow sides, length 71.7 cm, engraved on its first third with military and floral trophies and a civic crown. Wooden scabbard sheathed in black waxed calfskin with three gilt bronze trimmings, molded cap in relief of a mermaid, central trim decorated with features with cut edges and smooth bouterolle with ribbon engraved with laurel leaves.
