Cardboard barrel covered with black felt, H at the front 20.5 cm, H at the back 22.5 cm, with a woven scarlet braid at the top, H 3.5 cm. Bourdalou composed of a 2.5 cm wide woven scarlet braid. On each side of the shako, two V-shaped scarlet braids are sewn. Black waxed leather cap, diameter 21 cm. Round visor in black waxed leather on the outside and green on the inside, width 6.4 cm. White lacquered metal cockade embossed with a radiant sun, diameter 7 cm. Stamped brass plaque, model 1816, representing the Arms of France placed on a shield cut with the number “2” surmounted by two crossed cannons and a flaming bomb. ; on either side of this shield are represented two medieval helms. Chinstraps composed of a leather chin strap covered with a series of 16 brass scales cut alternately into two or three festoons; they are decreasing, the widest measuring 3.5 cm and the narrowest 1.7 cm; brass rosettes stamped in their center with a fleur-de-lys, diameter 4.2 cm. White and scarlet wool pompom, diameter 6 cm. Inner headdress in black waxed sheepskin cut into eight wolf teeth.
