Rectangular gilded brass tray, height 59 mm, width 81 mm. In the center, a molded silver motif represents the cross of the first company ending with fleurs-de-lys and angled with three flames in each corner, height 44 mm, width 44 mm. The outer border of the tray is framed by a molded silver rod in the shape of branches of laurel leaves garnished with fleur-de-lys in the four corners, it is riveted to the tray by means of 10 silver nails.
Reverse with hook (height 14 mm, width 18 mm) and trigger guard (height 598 mm, thickness 6 mm; complete with its two barbs).
Weight 87 grams.

NOTE :
This model is rare, few authentic examples are known: the example described here from the former Pierre PETITOT collection, one belonging to the former Christian ARIÈS collection, three in French private collections, another belonging to the former Jean collections and Raoul Brunon, which became collections of the Musée de l'Armée in 1966, currently kept in the reserves of the Musée de l'Armée at the Hôtel des Invalides in Paris.
