Black patent leather box, with framing strip in the shape of a silver bangle. Silver trimmings representing the number 9 of the regiment in the center of a hunting horn surrounded by laurel and oak branches.
H: 10 cm; Minimum L: 14.5 cm; Maximum L 15.5 cm; D 3.5 cm.
Black leather banner covered with a large silver braid with four black silk borders with four silver trims (W 6 cm): a medallion with a lion's head (H 5.5 cm, L 4 cm), a escutcheon engraved with laurel branches (H 7 cm, L 6 cm), buckle decorated with a spider web (H 7.8 cm, L 6.8 cm), barrette and a smooth shield.

Perfect state of conservation, oxidation from use on the banner braid, silver fittings never cleaned since the time.
NOTE :
To my knowledge, only two complete copies of its original banner are known, both were presented on this site (see archives), a third box (alone) is kept in a private collection, illustrated in Michel Pétard's work on the Military equipment Volume IV, figure 373, page 55.
HISTORY:
This regiment completed all the campaigns of the First Empire: Marengo, Alexandria, Reggio, Wagram, Moskowa, Wiasma, Lützen, Bautzen, Dresden, Leipzig, Hanau, Brienne, Montmirail, Reims, Paris, it was also present at Waterloo.
