Canvas barrel reinforced with braiding (H at the front 9.5 cm and at the rear 17 cm with its pentr), covered with a dark blue cloth sleeve garnished on each side at the top with two aerators ( diameter 1.6 cm) in brass pierced with small holes and round in shape. A red wool braid (width 3 mm) is sewn on each side and at the back of the barrel. Round-shaped cap (diameter 13.5 cm) in black patent leather. Scarlet wool braid 1.7 cm high sewn at the top of the sleeve. Bourdalou in black patent leather (H 2 cm). At the front of the shako, a metal cockade embossed with a tricolor lacquered radiant sun is sewn (diameter 5 cm). This cockade is sewn on each side with a silk thread and it is attached to the barrel, in its center, by a white metal uniform button stamped with an oak and laurel branch and bearing the inscription “CUSTOMS” (diameter 1.6 cm). This button also maintains a braid made up of a triple braid of scarlet wool, 2.4 cm wide and 5 cm high.
Square-shaped visor in black waxed leather on the outside and green on the inside (width 3.8 cm).
Inner headdress made up of a black waxed leather headband.
Double scarlet and purple dyed wool pompom (diameter of the upper part 4.5 cm, diameter of the lower part 3 cm, total height 7.5 cm).
A leather label with handwritten inscription (passed) is sewn inside the headdress.
