Walnut frame with short barrel, wood with all brass fittings. Flintlock signed “Manuf Imp de St-Étienne” hallmarked with the “C” in a diamond by the reviser Jean-Louis-Nicolas Compas, 1808-1812. Barrel 19.9 cm long, dated “B 1812” marked “EF” and “P” under star of Inspector Préau, St Étienne 1811-1816. Breech tail marked “M an 13”, length with breech tail 24 cm. Iron rod with nail head. All the fittings are stamped with a “G” under the crown, probably the controller Joseph Guichard, 1802-1826
