Entirely in brass. The base of the bomb is stamped on the front and back with a relief molding. Mobile visor stamped in relief with two crossed axes linked together by a ribbon. Neck cover surrounded by a rush folded astride its outer edge, registered “548”. Crest with fins stamped with fourteen gadroons with mask decorated with a flaming bomb. Brass front plate, model 1852, stamped with an uncrowned imperial eagle holding in its claws the sparkling spindle of Jupiter, all placed on the coat of arms of the city of Paris framed by a branch of oak and laurel, two crossed axes and a ribbon bearing the inscription “SAPEURS POMPIERS DE LA VILLE DE PARIS”. Brass chinstraps composed of two round rosettes stamped with gadroons in relief, and two leather-lined chin straps covered with a brass plate stamped with scalloped scales. Square-shaped feather holder with section decreasing towards the bottom. Inner cap in black waxed leather cut with nine wolf teeth.
