HELMET TROUP OF FIREFIGHTERS OF THE COMMUNE OF MÉZIÈRES-EN-DROUAIS, type 1830, July Monarchy. 24803

Helmet made entirely of brass. Fixed visor stamped in relief with two crossed axes with a spear framed with oak branches, bordered by a rush folded astride the outer border. Front and back headbands stamped with oak leaves. Neck cover circled similarly to the visor. Crest with fin decorated with ten gadroons decreasing towards the rear and mask struck in relief with a flaming bomb. Front plate stamped and cut with a Gallic rooster placed on a terrestrial globe framed by branches of vines and wheat against a background of a bundle of flags with a ribbon in the lower part bearing the inscription “Srs POMPIERS DE MÉZIÈRES-EN-DROUAIS DEVOUEMENT”. Plumet holder with square section decreasing slightly towards the bottom. Chinstraps with one-piece chin straps stamped with scalloped scales and round rosettes stamped in relief with gadroons.
