HELMET FIREFIGHTERS OF THE COMMUNE OF FRASNE, type 1855, modified 1872, Third Republic. 24241

Entirely in brass, crest stamped with eleven gadroons, front plate struck in relief with an oval medallion struck with a flaming bomb with oak and laurel branches. This medallion is placed on a shield surmounted by the city crown framed by two palms and two crossed axes with ribbon bearing the inscription “Srs POMPIERS DE FRASNE”. Visor and neck cover surrounded by a folded brass bangle astride the outer edge. Chinstraps composed of a one-piece stamped brass chin strap with a series of decreasing scales cut alternately into two and three festoons, round rosettes stamped with circular moldings. Tubular plume holder with square section decreasing downwards.
