HELMET OF FIREFIGHTERS OF THE COMMUNE OF CONCHIL LE TEMPS, type 1885 known as Campagnard, Third Republic. 25192
Inspired by the helmets of the Second Empire, and designated by the manufacturers as "all-copper fire helmet, with small crest", entirely in brass, crest shortened compared to its predecessors and reduced to 6 cm in height in its highest part . Decorated with a flaming bomb on the mask, fins struck with a decreasing series of thirteen gadroons, frontal plate representing a shield stamped with a flaming grenade, surrounded by a crown made of a branch of laurel and oak, on radiant sun background, ribbon bearing the inscription “Srs POMPIERS DE CONCHIL LE TEMPS”; brass chinstrap, chin strap stamped in a brass plate in relief of a series of scalloped scales; the latter is mounted on a black waxed leather core; removable round rosettes stamped in relief with gadroons, fixed to the helmet by means of a screw.

Fairly good condition, slight bomb marks, two screws fixing the crest missing, missing a chinstrap and the interior cap.
