Brass frame. Six-branched guard forming a hollowed-out shell decorated with the imperial eagle placed on two crossed barrels. Short-tailed cap. Wooden handle, brass filigree. Curved white blade with hollow sides, 94.3 cm long, engraved on one side “ARTILLERY TRAIN” framed with floral decorations, “N” and a crowned imperial eagle, and on the other side with the same decoration but bearing the inscription “GARDE IMPERIALE”, heel signed “Duc Fourbisseur de la Garde Impériale rue St Honoré opposite in Paris”. Natural leather tie. Fully brass scabbard with two bail bracelets decorated with crossed cannons.
