Canon model 1777, with five short sides at the thunder then round, length 1.04 m, length with the breech tail 1.093 m, dated “92”, hallmarked “M” surmounted by a crowned “B”, hallmark of Jean Baptiste Merley, reviser then controller at St Etienne 1778-1790, then again from 1792.
All steel fittings, mouthpiece held by a screw, grenadière without spring, nasturtium with spring at the front of the barrel.
Walnut frame. Cheek stock dated “92”. Flintlock marked “St 93 Etienne”, with “B” hallmark surmounted by the Phrygian cap.
Iron wand.
Length of the rifle: 1.45 m.
