Cast and silvered brass frame with openwork shell, cruiser with cap cover, thumbscrew with shell and antennae, quillon in stock. Melted rocket imitating watermark. Pommel decorated on each side with the Musketeers' cross with five corner flames. H of frame 15.4 cm. Flat blade engraved on each side "2de COMPAGNIE DES MOUSQUETAIRES DU ROY", heel engraved "De la Marque de la Mouchette à Solingen", back engraved "Giverne Md Fourbisseur Rue Vieille Boucherie à l'Épée Royale à Paris". Length 88 cm.
