“Roman-style” mount, H 14 cm, in one-piece brass with symmetrical cruise molded with a fleuron with palmettes and handle decorated with 18 rows of scales. Strong pommel molded in relief of the Gallic rooster. At the top of the pommel, an iron rivet is intended to secure the blade. Blade 48.5 cm long and 4.3 cm at the heel, it is symmetrical with a double edge hollowed out with three hollow sides per side. Black patent leather scabbard with manufacturer's stamp (illegible) with two brass fittings, cap numbered "381", scratched and re-registered number "161" as well as a second number "655" preceded by a small hallmark with the rooster. Bouterolle registered “39”.
