Plaque (or escutcheon) affixed to the front of the headdress, it is in stamped brass representing a crowned imperial eagle holding in its claws the spindle of Jupiter placed on a shield-shaped base whose center is stamped in relief with a horn of hunting in the center of which the number “2” is cut out, and framed by two lion heads with branches of foliage and lower striped and studded molding. The eagle's head was cut off at the time of the First Restoration but remains present.

Fairly good condition, oxidized plate, head of the eagle present but cut, plate pierced with two holes at the top of each wing and on either side of the shield-shaped base.
