MINISTERIAL OFFICER PLATE “NOTARY”, First Empire. 27328
Stamped and gilded brass plate, oval shape, H 41.5 cm, width 33 cm. It represents the great Imperial Arms with the eagle surrounded by the collar of the Legion of Honor against a background of imperial mantle and crown. It is signed by the manufacturer “A. AMELING”.

Good condition, plate having retained its gilding, with some accidents and cracks on the outer edge, it was pierced with a hole at the top and bottom and two side holes for fixing at the time.
NOTE :
The manufacturer Ameling signed only with his name until 1822 when he joined forces with his son, he then signed “Ameling engraver passage du Saumon” his address in Paris. An identical plaque is kept at the Carnavalet museum in Paris, registration number EN134.
