HELMET OF AN OFFICER OF CUIRASSIERS OF THE ROYAL GUARD, model 1825, Second Restoration, reign of Charles X (1825-1830). 27254

Bomb in silver-plated copper with three suction cup holes inside, visor and neck cover in silver-plated copper surrounded by a gilded brass bangle folded astride the outer border. Visor and neck cover lined with black waxed leather.
Gilt brass headband stamped with a flaming bomb, the body of which bears three fleur-de-lys in relief, framed by branches of laurel and oak, all on a sandblasted background, bordered in the upper and lower parts with a double protruding molding. Rear strip without decoration with sandblasted background, bordered in the upper and lower parts with a triple protruding molding.
Crest in stamped gilded brass, composed of a mask stamped at the bottom with the Arms of France surmounted by a jellyfish head in relief on a sandblasted background; two fins struck with a decreasing series of 13 gadroons framed with pearls and separated by fleurons and water leaves, on a sandblasted background. Crest fixed with nine round head screws (four per fin, one for the mask).
Black hair caterpillar protruding 13 cm from the front of the crest.
Gilt brass chinstraps in the shape of an interlaced and chiseled 8 mounted on a black patent leather chin strap; Rosette in gilded brass stamped with a radiant sun on a sandblasted background, fixed to the bomb using a golden head screw.
Plumet holder in gilded brass, tubular in shape with square section, slightly decreasing towards the bottom.
Inner cap in black leather cut into nine wolf teeth.

Very good condition, a few small cracks on the fins of the crest, slight wear on the linings of the visor and the neck cover, period track but reused from the 1815 model (longer).
