Leather barrel, H 10 cm at the front, 13 cm at the back, covered with dark sky blue cloth, lined at the top with black patent leather 1.5 cm high, and at the bottom with a 2 cm high black patent leather bourdalou. On both sides, two 1.5 cm wide black patent leather braids are sewn in a V, framing a sky blue lacquered brass vent placed at the top. Black waxed leather cap, 14.5 cm x 16.5 cm. Round visor in black patent leather, width 4.5 cm. Brass front plate stamped in relief with a flaming bomb surmounting a ribbon bearing the inscription “SCHOOL SPECIAL MILITARY” (H 8 cm, width 11.5 cm). Tinplate roundel stamped with rays, tricolor lacquered, diameter 4.7 cm.
Inner headdress composed of a black waxed leather headband numbered “24038”, size 56.
Plumet in white and scarlet hanging rooster feathers.
