HELMET OF A NCO FIREFIGHTER OF THE CITY OF CHANDENEY, type 1855, modified 1872, Third Republic. 24163
Entirely in chromed iron, crest stamped with eleven gadroons, plaque struck in relief with a shield stamped with a flaming pomegranate framed by an oak branch and a laurel branch with crossed axes and a ribbon bearing the inscription “CHANDENEY FIREFIGHTERS” against a background of radiant sunlight. Visor and neck cover surrounded by a folded brass bangle astride the outer edge. Chinstraps composed of a chin strap in soft leather covered in black velvet and covered with a one-piece stamped plate with a series of decreasing scales cut alternately into two and three festoons, with round-shaped rosettes stamped with circular moldings. Tubular plume holder with square section decreasing downwards.
