Brass frame, guard with four branches signed "VERSAILLES" bearing the punches "JC" of Jean Cazamajou, reviser at Versailles from January 1809 to September 1811, an illegible punch and a "V" for Verified. Short-tailed cap, wooden handle covered in black waxed calfskin with brass filigree. Brass ferrule. Straight blade with double hollow sides, 96.6 cm long with tip extending from the back; it bears the hallmark “M” under the star of Claude Marion, inspector from December 1808 to June 1811 and “B” of Jean-Georges Bick, first class controller from February 1809 to August 1824; back of blade signed “Mfture Imple du Klingenthal June 1810”. Scarlet cloth tie. Steel scabbard with two bail bracelets.
