Polished brass frame, four-branched guard and tray, main branch signed Versailles with "B" hallmarks in a crown of pearls from inspector Simon Ferdinand Beaumaretz, September 1803 - June 1807, and "M" surmounted by a notched wheel of Jean-Jacques Mouton, first class controller from July 1798 to February 1809. Cap with short tail and brass ferrule on wooden handle covered in leather and brass filigree. 97.4 cm Klingenthal blade with double hollow sides, similarly marked to the mount. Back of blade signed “Mfture Nale du Klingenthal Coulaux Frères entrepr”. Brown leather tie. Black patent leather scabbard with three brass fittings with scalloped edges, steel rings.
