Obverse represents the portrait, bare head of the sovereign, turned left, with Italian legends on the periphery “GIOACCHINO NAPOL. RE DELLE DUE SICILIE” (Joaquim Napoleon, king of the Two Sicilies).
Reverse with a vegetal crown in the center, formed by an olive branch and an ear of wheat tied together, is the value in full as well as the year below. Italian legends on the outskirts "PRINCIPE E GRAND' AMMIRAGLIO DI FRANCIA / DODICI / CARLINI / 1810".
Edge inscribed in relief “** ** DIO PROTEGGE **** IL RE E IL REGNO” (God protects the king and the kingdom).
