Gilded bronze frame, three-branched guard forming an openwork shell decorated with foliage and beaded moldings with the marine anchor placed in its center topped with the royal crown, a rare variant of the 1837 model usually without a crown. Long-tailed cap decorated with a fleuron, an acanthus leaf and beaded moldings. Ferrule decorated with moldings engraved with flowers. Molded horn handle. Flat straight blade, rush back, rounded counter-edging, length 63.8 cm. Black patent leather scabbard with three gilded bronze fittings: cap with suspension ring, oval-shaped button for wearing on the belt, cartridge decorated with an anchor topped with the royal crown, lower edge with smooth moldings; trim in the center of the scabbard with suspension ring decorated with lines and smooth moldings; bouterolle with upper part decorated with smooth moldings, lower part decorated with a scallop shell; scalloped brass dart.

Good condition, the brass parts have lost their gilding, blade with slight oxidation, leather of the scabbard in peeling leather.
